Few Ideas for Small Scale Business

From the past few decades, the literacy rate is increased and technological advancement allowed the people to adopt various professions. However, it also increased the competition as now more educated and skilled people are available so the unemployment rate is gradually increasing, especially in the post COVID era. So, there is a dire need to shift the focus from job seeking to setting up your own work and providing employment opportunities to others. There are lot of options that require minimal or no money and you can do it from home as well. 

Here are some ideas that can be employed to keep yourself busy and earn as well. But, it requires continuous effort and hard work and also depends on the education level.

If you are facing difficulties to get a job, you can start any of the following setup, according to your education, expertise, money and locality (which type of business is more required in that particular location);

1. An informative YouTube channel (related to your own subject or an entertainment channel for kids). Free online courses are available to learn about the animations and video editing etc. these can help people to grow further.

2. Start writing a blog and connect it with AdSense (you will get adds after few months on your blog and then earn money).

3. Set up a small business related to your expertise. It will definitely take a lot of time and energy but eventually you will be able to spread the business, if you are persistent. Following are the few business ideas which required less than 50000 Rupee:- 

a. Cooking/baking, sell bakery item to near by market shops are cookies online.

b. Software house, you just need a laptop and internet.

c. Online business according to your interest and capital such as garments, jewelry, scientific products (chemicals, reagents etc.), spare parts, electronics etc.

d. Catering/event planning and management.

e. Selling and delivering disposable items/food items.

f. Set up a small nursery at home if your degree is related to plant sciences.

g. Stitching or embroidery.

h. Home tuitions/academy

i. Online tuitions

j. Dairy products such as yogurt, kheer etc.

k. Poultry (on small scale)

l. If you are not ready to work yet, spent time on online courses to get more knowledge

These are just few options, you can explore more and suggest more as well.

  2. Best suggestions, no doubt. Online marketing or network marketing is also an option to start free of cost, if you have nothing to invest just connect with some whole sellers and start selling their products online after adding reasonable profit. I am also doing this to fulfill my expenses.
